This little poppet is only 5 months old. She faces a very uncertain future in the next couple of days. She's had some serious health issues and mom was unable to work, so she could look after her little girl.
And slowly the rent has run into arrears of R2500 😞
But mom started working last week Monday and things are looking up again. However, they will be locked out if mom doesn't bring the rent up to date tomorrow.
With no income until month end, this momma really needs a lifeline 🙏
This little family is fully verified and People4Purpose NPO have been assisting with transport costs.

By complete grace, 3 moms who we have been assisting and working with, and who have also been unemployed for a very long time, have finally secured full-time work 🙏🏻
It's a massive shift from being a street vendor to being gainfully employed 🙌
They are fighting hard to change the future for their families.
However, after many months and even years without a proper income, they face a major challenge in getting to work. Without transport money for these first few weeks before their first paycheck, their new jobs are in serious jeopardy.

We are humbly asking for assistance so they don't lose these life-changing opportunities.

Our goal is try and raise R3000 (R1000 per lady) to cover 2 weeks of essential transport.
Every single Rand counts. Every contribution makes a massive difference in keeping these moms on track.

What an incredible weekend of receiving and giving back! Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, several of our local families received essential groceries and care packages.
​Because our community showed up with such abundance, we were also able to share supplies with other organizations that we admire so deeply.

As expected, Tuesday brought with it icy cold weather. We’re feeling extra grateful for the warmth and comfort we have in our lives.

Our Love² blankets are growing stitch by stitch, and our needles are still clicking away!
And the best part? Love² is running indefinitely!

It’s been a heavy few days at People4Purpose NPO reviewing, verifying and trying to sort out urgent appeals. We are inundated with requests and we know we can't help everyone 🥺
What might seem like small requests on the surface to us, are absolute lifelines and moments of dignity for others 🙏

Shelter (R2,500): A mom and her 5-month-old baby are locked out 😢 due to rent arrears. She started a new job yesterday and can sustain herself by month-end, but needs help getting back inside her room. Her landlord has been very patient.

Job Transport (R80/day): A resilient single mom from Soweto secured a job, but after receiving only half a month's pay as she only started 2 weeks ago, she risks losing it without daily transport funds. At the of the month she receives a full salary and will be firmly back on her feet.

Matric Dance Hair & Nails (R800): An Alexandra matriculant raised by her elderly aunt has persevered to finish school after many challenges. Her dress and shoes were kindly donated by Lorna, but we need R800 to finish her look for her big night. We know how special this night is but financially beyond her means.

Matric Dance Ride (R200–R300): A dedicated single mom in Cosmo City covered every detail for her son's matric dance, but needs help with an Uber ride to complete his evening.

We know how hard everyone works for their income, but even the smallest act of kindness can change everything for these families. If you are in a position to assist with any of these needs, please consider opening your heart to help 💕
