This little precious boy must be the most affectionate bunny I have ever gotten to know. He just thrives for and seeks attention the whole time.

He was handed in at a vet who then contacted me to come to his rescue.

As usual one can only presume a ‘set free’ dumped bunny 😢

He’s rescuers very kindly made a donation towards his care and eventual sterilisation, but if you want to make a donation for the work I do I would be eternally grateful.

Yes, I’m still alive. Just busy with a humongous project that is just about killing me. More of that to follow.

He’s just a little young bunny still and already been discarded.

On Sunday this poor little boy was found living in a cactus on Republic road, Randburg. Definitely not the safest place to make your home with such a busy road, and his poor ears were full of dry blood from getting pricked.

I received a WhatsApp message from someone to say I must come to republic road for a bunny. I panicked a little cause i had other really urgent bunny commitments. However, before I could even start deriving a plan, super hero Lucy Jansen was on it and already saved the little guy.

He is safe with me now, but I need some support on the financial side. If anyone could please sponsor his sterilisation of R500 ($30), I would be extremely grateful. You can also make any donation towards his care or the many other buns being cared for.

He is of course looking for a home (with a friend). I also have a ton of gorgeous little little baby buns that could do with homes (in pairs unless there is a baby bun already). Just send a direct message if you are interested.

This is my permanent status. In almost 9 years it has never been any different.

At the rate bunnies need help vs the rate they get homed it will never change either.

If you can support what I do, if you can find it in your heart to help these little guys, if you still need convincing of how bad the rabbit overpopulation is, then manage my whatsapp account for a week. I currently have 320+ unread messages, I simply cannot help every single one, I cannot take in all the unwanted bunnies. I do my utmost best to help as many as I humanly can, but I need help. I don’t have permanent funding, I have a handful of very kind individuals who help, but the rest comes out of my personal funds.

If you can help please make a donation no matter how big or small.

‼️𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀‼️

A few weeks ago I was tagged in a fb post about bunnies that were dumped at a lake pumphouse on the east rand. I offered to catch them and have them sterilised at rescue rates, but I could not take them in nor fund the sterilisation.

Fast forward a few weeks and a long story short, I went there on Sunday to catch the remaining 3 bunnies. In the meantime one had disappeared and one run over 😢💔. Residents also secured a home for the 3 and raised funds for their sterilisation.

With the help of these amazing residents, we managed to catch the 3 bunnies in no time, however, when it comes to bunnies it is never without more challenges. One of the 2 female buns had milk so there were babies somewhere. There I was thinking it was a quick catch I will be getting home nice and early for a change, no such luck. We started searching for a burrow or nest. I braved it into the public toilet (technically not a toilet anymore, just a disgusting sickening, worse stench ever (with fresh p**p on the floor), filth pit.

Anyhow, lo and behold, I found the babies. In that awful place, behind the toilet 😱😱😱😱😱!!!!

Who knew bunny catching could be such fun.

Thank you to the residents Alta, Rene, Pete and Calvin. Your support and assistance was greatly appreciated and a huge help. Thank you for caring and for helping the bunnies.

𝗕𝘆𝗲, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁

This precious being, sitting in the front seat like a little lord, was off to his new home.

There he has his very own bunny buddy to cuddle and stay warm with. But, that’s not all, his new human mom is the one and only Corien Lombard from Cottontail Cuts. Can a bunny ask for more than to go and live with a human who has the biggest heart for all animals, although bunnies take first place 😉.

Thank you Corien for giving this sweet gorgeous boy his family and home. Very few people are willing to give the ruby eyed bunnies a home, he is a lucky boy.

Please remember there are lots of bunnies just like this bun who would love to get a home and family (always with a bunny buddy, never alone). Just send a message if you are interested in adopting.

💙🤍𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺 🤍💙

I received a call from Fourways Vet Hospital on Tuesday. Someone had brought in a baby bunny, again caught by the cat 😢

These poor babies. Hardly have a chance to start their little lives and they end up going through such a terrible ordeal. And those are the lucky ones who make it.

This little one is at least a bit older than yesterday’s baby (who didn’t get any milk sponsored 🥺), but still very risky for such a small little being.

She has joined two other tiny buns also caught by cats that came in about 2 weeks ago.

In the meantime if anyone could sponsor this baby, any amount will help. I really need help getting some milk. It would be hugely appreciated 🙏🏻

💕🧡 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗻 🧡💕

This tiny little being was caught by a cat.

Although very sad that such a small little being has to go through such trauma at such a young age, the cat fortunately took his ‘catch of the day’ home to his human.

Little baby will go to baby whisperer Anri, and hopefully pull through.

We just have one small glitch, we are all out of kitten milk.

If anyone could sponsor a tin it would help so so much 🧡. It’s around R400 ($25) a tin. (We mostly use goats milk, but add some baby cat milk to the mixture for the much needed protein).
