🚨 GRADUATE OPPORTUNITY: 15 TECHNICAL YES GRADUATES! 🚨

Are you a technical graduate ready to build your future in automotive diagnostics?
IVECO Dealers is seeking 15 technical graduates for a 12-month YES Graduate Programme focused on developing future Auto Electricians with diagnostic specialisation.

• Employer: IVECO Dealers
• Locations: Gauteng
• Duration: 12-month YES Graduate Programme
• Age Requirement: 18–34 years
• Experience: None required
• Age: 18–34 years

Minimum requirements:
• National Certificate, N4, Diploma or equivalent in Auto Electrical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams.
• Fault-finding skills, computer literacy and a willingness to learn.

Experience with CAN Bus, electronic diagnostics, commercial vehicles or practical training will be an advantage.

Graduates will gain technical training and practical workplace exposure, with monthly training visits to the IVECO Academy.

“I saw that everything cannot be done alone.”​

Tshimega Masa, founder and CEO of MASA Aqua, started the business in 2021 by refilling water for neighbours in the community. As demand grew, including bottled water for funerals, so did the pressure. In the early days, Tshimega sold a car to cover salaries.​

In 2024, MASA Aqua partnered with y@W to add the capacity the business needed: admin support, drivers, operations and sales staff, and someone to manage things when Tshimega is away.​

In our video, Tshimega shares what changed. Productivity is up 60%, and more hands have meant more deliveries, more customers and a stronger presence on social media.​

​Tshimega’s advice to other small business owners: don’t be scared to approach y@W. Their doors are always open.​

Our 2025 Impact Report shows a clear shift in the sectors where y@W participants are placed. Compared to 2024, there's been a material move toward productive, private-sector and skills-intensive industries:​

📈 Information, communication and technology: 8% → 11%​
📈 Manufacturing: 6% → 8%​
📈 Other service activities: 3% → 5%​

At the same time, Education (15%) and Automotive (14%) held steady, and we've maintained participation in social-impact sectors like health and social work.​

The takeaway? A balanced portfolio across social, industrial, service and digital economies means young people aren't reliant on any single sector for opportunity. That spread builds resilience, both for them and for the economy they're entering.​

We celebrated the graduates of the Hut LeadHERShip Cohort at the y@W offices, alongside our partners at Youth Employment Service.​

Women's advancement isn't a side project for us. More than 60% of participants in our 12-month programme are young women, and initiatives like HerLeadership give them the networks to step into leadership roles.​

Alumna Gugulethu Sigiasa and current participant Lindokuhle Alicia Fan spoke about what the programme demanded of them and what it gave back, from leading under pressure to backing their own voices.​

Congratulations to every graduate. We're proud of what you've achieved and excited to see where you lead next.​

We believe a job alone doesn't make a young person ready for work. Wellbeing has to come with it.​

That's why wellness is built into every stage of our programme: wellness calls, peer support, journey sessions, YES One App engagement and WhatsApp mood check-ins. When young people feel seen, supported and connected, they show up with more purpose.​

We hold ourselves to the same standard. Our teams meditate together every day, and recently we laced up for several community running events across Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.

The young people who support their peers need support too. Healthy teams build healthy programmes, and healthy programmes
build young people who are ready for their careers and their communities.​
