Who we are and what we do!
In October 1976, the NG Kerk recognised a need for a care facility that would assist frail and disabled members of the community. The home started with only about 40 residents and now supports a total of 77 SASSA pensioners and 9 private pensioners of the community. The buildings were erected with a loan from the government. This loan was paid off 1994.
Huis John Vorster assists members from Komani itself as well as people from surrounding areas such as Ezibeleni, Whittlesea, Glen Grey and Hewu.
People who stay at Huis John Vorster are elderly members of the community who need institutionalised care due to frailty caused by ageing, sickness and disability.
At Huis John Vorster, we aim to create the best caring facility for all aging people. We strive to maintain a professional caring service in an environment where our residents feel safe and uplifted.
