It is through your support that we are able to continue creating meaningful, sustainable impact from education and food security to community development and faith-based programmes.

The need remains great, but so does the opportunity to make a difference.

We invite individuals and organisations to partner with us as we continue to build, grow and serve the community of Hammanskraal.

Together, we are not only meeting today’s needs we are investing in tomorrow’s future and closing the poverty gap.

At Vastfontein Community Transformation, we often see the heart of a mother reflected in the way our community is cared for.

A mother nurtures, protects, feeds, comforts and believes in the potential of her children even before they see it in themselves. In many ways, Vastfontein carries that same spirit within the community creating spaces of safety, nourishment, encouragement and growth for those who need it most.

Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 66:13:
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”

Today we honour every mother, grandmother, caregiver and spiritual mother who pours out love, wisdom and sacrifice daily.

Your strength and compassion shape families, restore hope and help build stronger communities.
Thank you for being the nurturing heart of the next generation.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Vastfontein.

Today we honour the hands and hearts that build, serve and sustain.

On this Workers’ Day, we celebrate every staff member at Vastfontein and Batho Pele Christian School from the classrooms to the fields, from the offices to the grounds. Each role, each effort, each act of service contributes to something far greater than ourselves.

In South Africa, Workers’ Day reminds us of the value, dignity and rights of every worker. At Vastfontein, it also reminds us of our calling to serve with purpose, to lead with love and to work as unto the Lord.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”- Colossians 3:23

It is through the dedication of our team that lives are changed, hope is restored, and transformation becomes possible in our community.

Today, we say thank you.
You are seen. You are valued. You are making a difference.
Together, we continue closing the poverty gap.

What Does Freedom Really Mean?

Are we truly free if children cannot read… if families go to bed hungry… if opportunity is still out of reach for so many?

Freedom is more than a moment in history it is something that must be lived, experienced and sustained in our communities every day.

At Vastfontein Community Transformation, we believe that true freedom comes through education, nourishment, dignity and hope.

That is why we remain committed to closing the poverty gap because when a child is educated, when a family is fed, and when hope is restored, freedom becomes a reality.

This Freedom Day, we reflect… but we also act. Because real freedom is not just remembered it is built.

Our Psalm 23 Garden is more than a space t is a living reflection of God’s promise, His provision and His peace.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.” - Psalm 23:1–3

This garden represents the heart of the vision at Vastfontein. In a community where there is often hardship and uncertainty, it stands as a reminder that God is our Shepherd guiding, restoring and providing in every season.

It is a place of prayer, reflection and renewal. A place where hope is restored, where faith is strengthened, and where lives are reminded that they are seen, known and deeply loved.

The Psalm 23 Garden speaks of what is possible when faith meets action when we trust God not only for provision, but for transformation.
This is the vision.
This is the hope.

This is the journey of closing the poverty gap.
