The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is the leading international intergovernmental organization dealing with migration.

The Partnership on Health and Mobility in Eastern and Southern Africa is a biregional health programme from the International Organization for Migration that supports States in the region to implement 2008 World Health Assembly (WHA) Resolution 61.17. Its key objective is to contribute to the improved standard of physical, mental and social well-being of migrants by responding to their health needs throughout all phases of the migration process, as well as the public health needs of host and home communities.
