Youth Day

Sibanye Stillwater, Blue Bulls Rugby Union, Vodacom Bulls, Jacaranda FM, Good Morning Angels 94.2 blessed our patients with the most thoughtful care packages and fluffy gowns.

They also gifted us with brand new files, that we will use to keep our patient records neat and tidy.

Not only did this team brighten the day of our youth, they have also ensured that those taking care of the youth can smile while doing so.

Youth Day 2026

Today our wards were filled with laughter, warmth and joy. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Sibanye-Stillwater, Blue Bulls Rugby Union, Jacaranda FM , Good Morning Angels 94.2 for visiting our patients, and for the incredibly thoughtful gifts — care packages for our parents and children, warm fluffy gowns for every patient, and new files for our healthcare team.

These gifts are so much more than items.
They bring comfort to children facing difficult journeys, dignity to families navigating challenging circumstances, and encouragement to the doctors and nurses who care for them every day.

Your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of our children and has lifted the spirits of everyone in our wards.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Youth Day by showing our young patients that they are seen, valued and loved.

Tomorrow we celebrate Youth Day 🇿🇦

Youth Day is a powerful reminder of the courage shown by the young people of South Africa who stood up for their right to a better future. Their legacy challenges us to continue building a country where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

At Lethabo la Bana Foundation, we believe that investing in children is investing in South Africa’s future. Every act of kindness, every donation, every care package, and every helping hand has the power to bring hope to a child (and their family) facing illness, injury, or hardship.

As we reflect on the meaning of Youth Day, we honour the resilience of the children and families we serve and recommit ourselves to creating brighter futures, one child at a time.

What an incredible morning for the Lethabo la Bana Foundation! 💙

We are deeply grateful to have been featured on Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels today.

A heartfelt thank you to Sibanye-Stillwater and the Vodacom Blue Bulls for their generous donation towards our Lethabo la Bana Care Packages. Because of your kindness, we will be able to bring comfort, dignity, and a little extra joy to the children in our Paediatric Surgery wards this Youth Day.

Every care package represents more than just practical items – it is a reminder to our patients and their families that they are seen, valued, and supported by a community that cares.
