Hennie Matthysen Clinical Councilor offers marriage counseling, Trauma counseling, Grief Counseling, Counseling for Depression, Teenage counseling and Family counseling. Hennie established Hennie Matthysen Clinical Counseling to help all South Africans in a multi-cultural, stressful, aggressive and sometimes very traumatic environment. The aim is to equip people with the ability to deal with very demanding situations and life realities in a homely, yet professional environment. The counseling / therapy techniques used are based on an understanding of how we think, feel and react to certain situations. During 2017 New Life Development Centre was established to also engage into Educational services with the specific aim to help and support learners who also need assistance with regards to their educational demands and needs. Mr Jandre Botha (Educational Specialist) joined NLDC and specializes in the following educational needs.
1. Career guidance during school phase up to University level
2. Career guidance in the world of skills development and Seta requirements
3. Learner needs analysis with regards to subject choice, career guidance and information
4. Conducting of SAT and JAT aptitude testing in junior as well as senior phase
5. Liaison with parents and teachers regarding academic performance and possible learning difficulties.
6. Assist teachers with SACE training in order to accumulate the required SACE points for CPD (Continuous Personal Development)
7. Study methods for learners to enhance their academic performance.
8. Disciplinary problems of learners at school or in personal life.
9. Equip learners with educational skills and knowledge to make informed decisions.
10. Exposure of learners to the world of work and related information to obtain their ultimate goals.
11. Information on tertiary study requirements and the accumulation of APS marks for admission at these institutions.
12. Assist schools in the whole School Development and Evaluation.
13. Psychometric evaluation as well as Psychological serves in collaboration with a registered Educational Psychologist. Our aim: Is definitely not to condemn, but rather give a different understanding as to how we can apply principles to address these difficult situations in every day life, in a very practical and people friendly manner in order to make the world people live in a more safe haven and a place they feel comfortable to live their lives.
