Sixteen suspects aged between 18 and 45 were arrested during the ongoing Operation Vala Umgodi for contravention of immigration laws and at Malamulele, Jane Furse, and Maake Policing areas on Wednesday, 14 May 2025.

During the operation the team recovered illegal mining equipment.

The suspects will appear before the local Magistrate's Court soon.

Crime statistics keeps on increasing everyday in South africa.

Cases with unknown suspects mostly the suspects are Illegal or undocumented immigrants.

It is therefore as the community take initiative to engage the home affairs and saps to work the ground.

Vhembe District, this month alone we have 3 murder cases happen in different places and the suspects are from Zimbambwe and Mozambique.
