Gauteng North Guides

Gauteng North Guides Gauteng North consists runs 3 branches of the Guiding movement. Brownies, Guides and Rangers.

The international Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement provides non-formal education programmes that allow girls and young women to develop leadership and life skills through self-development, challenge, advocacy and adventure. These are programs especially designed to challenge the different stages that Girls go though as they grow up. There is much to say about how much we get up to but we wi

ll sum it up as best we can. Programs are orientated to teach Girls the skills that school do not, such as having fun sewing, cooking, planting a vegetable patch but also roughing it up and going hiking and camping.

Thinking Day Report - 22nd February 2025

On the 22nd of February 2025, we celebrated Thinking Day with a series of exciting and meaningful activities. The event was marked by the enrollment of five children who transitioned from Guides to Rangers, as well as the enrollment of two adult leaders. This was a significant moment in their journey, symbolizing growth and dedication within the guiding movement.

Throughout the day, the children engaged in various activities, including playing games, enjoying meals together, and learning new skills. One of the key learning activities included discovering more about the country of Mozambique. The adult leaders played an essential role in guiding and teaching the children, ensuring they had a fun and educational experience.

The event was beautifully captured in photographs, showcasing the joy and enthusiasm of everyone involved. These pictures highlight the essence of the day—friendship, learning, and the spirit of guiding. It was truly a wonderful occasion, and the memories created will be cherished by all who attended.
