🤔 What is one thing you wish you had learned earlier about bodily autonomy?

equips adolescents and youth everywhere with the confidence, agency and power to lead.

When young people know their rights and understand their bodies, they gain the power to make informed choices for their lives and communities.

🔎 Two-thirds of young adults feel hopeful about the future, yet almost 90% say financial security is a key requirement before starting a family.

Young people lead diverse lives, but universally they want the stability and opportunities needed to make their own choices, including whether and when to have a family.

To turn big dreams into reality, youth need real economic stability, healthcare and employment opportunities.

This , join @‌UNFPA in our global call to invest in their future: unf.pa/ypl

"Let's break it down"

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver.

Types and Transmission:
Hepatitis A & E: Mainly spread through contaminated food or water. Hepatitis A is highly contagious.
Hepatitis B, C, & D: Spread through contact with infected blood and certain body fluids.
Hepatitis B: Can also be passed from mother to baby during childbirth.

Symptoms: May include fever, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, dark urine, pale stools, and jaundice (yellowing of eyes and skin). Many infected individuals show no symptoms but can still transmit the virus or develop severe liver disease.

Prevention & Control: Early testing, vaccination (where available), and appropriate treatment are essential to prevent serious liver complications.

Regular testing, vaccination, good hygiene practises, and early treatment

Communities are not just beneficiaries of health interventions—they are the architects! 🤝🏽

UNFPA South Africa is proud to join SANAC Civil Society Forum, SANAC the National Department of Health (South Africa), WHO South Africa and the South-to-South Learning Network at the Protea Hotel Balalaika in Sandton for a crucial 3-day meeting to redesign and accelerate HIV and TB prevention.

Whether through long-acting injectables, oral PrEP, integrated SRH services, or comprehensive condom programming—people deserve access to choices that fit their real lives.

"People should never have to choose between prevention options. They should have access to prevention choices." — Thulani Mbatha, UNFPA South Africa Assistant Representative

Today, we walked with purpose. 💙👟

At the 702 Walk the Talk Fun Run, we stood together to champion a future where every young person can thrive.

Together, we’re raising our voices to:
đź’™ End adolescent pregnancy
🧡 End gender-based violence (GBV)
🤍 End preventable maternal deaths

Every step we took was a step towards safer communities, healthier futures, and a world where no one is left behind.

The journey doesn’t end here. Let’s keep walking, speaking up, and taking action.
