Give girls lifelong protection against cervical cancer with the one-shot HPV vaccine. Parents, guardians and caregivers are encouraged to support the 2026 Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Single-Dose Vaccination Campaign by signing and returning consent forms. Running
from 03 August to 09 October 2026, the campaign aims to protect eligible girls against cervical cancer through vaccinations provided at independent primary and combined schools, outstanding public primary schools, and special schools across Gauteng.

ODH Celebrating Women Who Make a Difference in Healthcare

Odi District Hospital hosted a Women’s Conference at Southern Sun in recognition of the unwavering dedication and contribution of its women staff members to the delivery of quality healthcare services.

Held under the theme “Breaking Barriers: Empowered Women, Limitless Futures,” the conference provided an opportunity to celebrate, inspire and empower women who continue to make a meaningful contribution to patient care and the strengthening of the healthcare system.

The theme was brought to life by Chaplain Bashe from the Communication Directorate, DGMAH, whose inspiring presentation encouraged women to embrace their potential, overcome barriers and pursue personal and professional growth.

The Acting CEO, Dr Raymond Motsepe, commended the women of Odi District Hospital for their resilience, commitment and continued contribution to quality healthcare services.

🚨ODH EMERGENCY UNIT (CASUALTY) IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note that patients in the Emergency Unit are attended to according to a triage system. This means that patients with life-threatening conditions are treated first, followed by emergency cases, and then patients with non-emergency illnesses.

Emergency Unit does not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. At times, the unit may be full, and some patients may require prolonged treatment and resuscitation, which can take up to four hours or more for a single patient.

While we always strive to assist everyone as quickly as possible, waiting times may vary depending on the seriousness of the cases being treated at that time. We kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as our medical team works tirelessly to provide safe and appropriate care to all patients.

To help reduce overcrowding in Casualty, patients are encouraged to first visit their nearest clinics and come to ODH Outpatient Department (OPD) with referral letters for day consultation.
