ODH Celebrates the Heartbeat of Health Care.

On this special occasion, Odi District Hospital commemorated its annual Nurses’ Day celebration in recognition of nurses’ dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare services and their ongoing commitment to the service of humanity.

Nursing professionals were acknowledged for their vital role within the healthcare system. The Nursing Services Manager, Ms Evelyn Ntsie, emphasised the importance of upholding the nurses’ pledge and adhering to established professional standards. She further encouraged nurses to prioritise their well-being, recognising self-care as essential to sustaining excellence in patient care.

The event concluded with the recitation of the nurses’ pledge, reaffirming their commitment to compassionate, ethical, and patient-centred care.

On this day ODH hosted its annual awards ceremony to honour employees and departments for their outstanding dedication, teamwork, and commitment to quality healthcare service delivery.

A total of 15 departments and approximately 55 staff members were recognised across various categories, including Best Performing Units, Team Effort Awards, Most Improved Unit, CEO’s Awards, and Overall Best Performing Employees.

Acting CEO Dr Raymond Motsepe continues to champion the importance of recognising excellence by motivating staff members to consistently deliver compassionate, professional, and high-quality healthcare services to the community.

The event also featured an insightful quality improvement speech by Ms Mbali Khulu and was professionally directed by Programme Director Mr Thobejane.
