AiM Station Update: The Violent Truth

We just dropped a new visual on the platform—and it’s not for comfort, it’s for reflection.

This piece highlights a hard truth: violence doesn’t only affect the vulnerable. It reaches everyone. And when even the most visible lives aren’t protected, it forces a deeper question about the systems we live in.

At AiM Station, we don’t just push culture—we confront reality through it. Music, media, and storytelling aren’t just for entertainment; they’re tools for awareness, dialogue, and change.

This is more than a post. It’s a conversation starter.

“Not every African who leaves… is running away.

Some of us are building bridges you’ll use later.”

This isn’t just a statement — it’s a reality we’re choosing to highlight.

Across the continent and beyond, African creatives are moving, connecting, learning, and building. Not escaping — expanding.

AiM Station exists to capture that movement.

To connect the dots between home and the world.

To make sure the story is told by those living it.

We don’t push stereotypes.

We platform truth.

Wherever you are building from — your voice matters here.

What started as a response to has evolved into something greater.

In2ition was born out of a real need — access, opportunity, and dignity in education as an initiative under Action Xlence, an anti-violence NPO registered in South Africa.

What began as a revolutionary African intervention is now growing into a platform for:
• Education access
• Skills development
• Youth empowerment
• Community impact

We’re not just responding to a moment — we’re building for a generation.

In2ition is about unlocking potential, creating pathways, and empowering futures across Africa.

This is only the beginning.

A Call for Consistency, Not Selective Justice

The principle of justice is not only about punishment—it is about consistency.

Across South Africa’s legal history, there have been cases that raise difficult but necessary questions about how the law is applied. When public figures face legal consequences, the nation watches closely—not just the outcome, but the standard being set.

The case of Oscar Pistorius remains one of the most widely discussed examples of how the justice system can navigate complexity, privilege, and public scrutiny. It demonstrated how circumstances, legal framing, and interpretation can significantly influence sentencing.

More recently, incidents involving individuals who discharged fi****ms at political gatherings and engaged in violent conduct against members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have raised similar concerns. In some of these cases, outcomes have not reflected custodial sentences, prompting public debate about accountability and equal application of the law.

These comparisons are not made to diminish any case—but to highlight a broader concern:

Is justice being applied equally, regardless of identity, political affiliation, or background?

is not simply a slogan. It is part of a wider call for transparency, fairness, and consistency within the legal system. A justice system must stand firm not only in its rulings, but in its credibility.

When standards appear uneven, trust is weakened.
When justice is consistent, trust is strengthened.

The question is not who is right or wrong in isolation—
but whether the system treats all cases with the same weight and integrity.

Justice must not only be done. It must be seen to be done—equally.

And ladies and gentlemen, we give you Donald J Trump, uncensored....are we gonna sit back and watch or is it not time we do something about this?

Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me. I don't need international law. I'm not looking to hurt people.

🌿 HOW LONG HAS CANNABIS BEEN USED RECREATIONALLY?

🏺 Ancient origins (pre-history → early civilizations)

Evidence of human use goes back at least 2,500–3,000 years, and likely earlier.
In Central Asia, archaeologists found burned cannabis in burial sites used for ritual and psychoactive purposes
Ancient China recorded cannabis in texts linked to both medicine and mind-altering effects

👉 This wasn’t just industrial hemp—it included intentional psychoactive use

🌍 Africa (deep cultural integration)
Cannabis has a long-standing presence across Africa:

In Southern and Eastern Africa, it was known as dagga / mbanje / chamba

Used for:
Relaxation
Social bonding
Spiritual practices
Pain relief

By the time colonial powers arrived, cannabis use was already: 👉 Normalized in many communities

🕌 Middle East & Islamic world (medieval period)

From around the 9th–15th centuries:
Hashish use spread widely
Used socially in place of alcohol (which is restricted in Islam)
Despite occasional bans, it remained: 👉 Common and culturally embedded

🇮🇳 India (one of the clearest examples)
Cannabis (bhang, g***a) has been used for over 2,000 years:

Consumed during festivals like Holi
Integrated into religious and social life
Recognized in traditional systems like Ayurveda

👉 This is uninterrupted recreational + spiritual use across millennia

🌍 Pre-20th century global pattern

Before the 1900s:

Cannabis was widely used
Rarely criminalized

Often:
Taxed
Regulated lightly
Or simply ignored by authorities

Even in Western countries:
Cannabis extracts were sold in pharmacies
No major “public danger” narrative existed

⚖️ WHEN DID CRIMINALISATION ACTUALLY BEGIN?

The real shift happened early 20th century (1900–1940s) War Times...

Key turning points:
1910s–1920s: Local bans begin (often tied to labor/racial tensions)
1937: Ma*****na Tax Act of 1937

Our mandate is to give, our purpose is to raise funds for development and charity initiatives in line with the SDGs. Our penultimate goal is to be a donor to the UN contributing significantly to the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger. We have channeled our efforts towards raising multibillions over the next 10-20 years and have a scholarship we developed In2ition Scholarship as well as a GBV protest walk and care centre in the pipeline.
