Tshwane District Youth Crime Prevention Desk hosted a successful *Team Building Program* and conducted a mini/brief *Induction*, that took place on the *14th February 2025* at *Laudium Stadium* in *Pretoria West*
The program was a successful initiative which entailed a variety of activities from Soccer, Netball, Volley, Fun Games and a Brief Induction. Stations from different Corridors across the District, came in numbers to support the program, mainly:
1. Laudium
2. Pretoria West
3. Soshanguve
4. Loate
5. Rietgat
6. Temba
7. Akasia
8. Mamelodi East and West
9. Dube
10. Sunnyside
11. Sinoville
12. Cullinan
13. Pretoria Central
14. Temba
15. Ga-Rankuwa
*Activities for the Day*
- Laudium Youth Crime Prevention Desk braced the crowd with a drill.
- The YCPD Tshwane District outlined the Code of Conduct and Misconduct of CPF(as part of the Briief Induction), on how members of the YCPD/CPF should behave or conduct themselves.
- A brief background on the YCPD Objectives was delivered by the Department of Community Safety.
- Laudium CPF Chairperson and Ward Councillor welcomed everyone and gave a keynote address on creating Crime Prevention measures for our communities, ensuring School Safety and Community Safety.
- The Tshwane CPF Chairperson also braced the program with wisdom on how young people should conduct themselves and strive hard in pursuing their future as well as careers.
This was a fruitful intervention where young people from different areas/stations, came together to embark on a Crime Prevention Initiative in a form of Team Building. A trend of discipline that was displayed from a "DRILL" by the *Laudium Youth Crime Prevention Desk* was very spectacular and breathtaking at the same time.
The Tshwane District Youth Crime Prevention Desk is working towards creating more Crime Prevention interventions and measures for the youth across the District.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the stations, Social Crime Prevention Coordinators, Gauteng Department of Community Safety, Gauteng Department of Sports, Recreation and Arts and Culture, the CPF, YCPD, Crime Prevention Traffic Wardens, and all role players that made sure that this program becomes a success.
