National Union of Public Service & Allied Workers The Workers First Nupsaw is a trade union whose purpose is to promote and protect the interests of its members in their places of work.

Nupsaw represents members in connection with any matter relating to their employment, for example:

Grievance Proceedings on injury on duty, promotions and discrimination;

Disciplinary Proceedings: Bargaining Councils CCMA and Labour Court proceedings on unfair dismissal, nepotism, favouratism etc. Through its participation in bargaining structures Nupsaw negotiates for and on behalf of its members for improvements in salaries and working conditions.

The 7th Western Cape Provincial Congress has successfully concluded after a robust, constructive and engaging congress that brought all regions of the province to reflect on the state of the organisation, assess the challenges facing workers, and chart a way forward in advancing the working-class. The Congress provided a platform for robust political, organizational discussions, and constructive engagement on the challenges confronting workers and the union.

The congress culminated in the election of five Provincial Office Bearers, who have been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the organisation in the Western Cape and strengthening NUPSAW’s presence in all regions of the province.
