National Union of Public Service & Allied Workers The Workers First Nupsaw is a trade union whose purpose is to promote and protect the interests of its members in their places of work.

Nupsaw represents members in connection with any matter relating to their employment, for example:

Grievance Proceedings on injury on duty, promotions and discrimination;

Disciplinary Proceedings: Bargaining Councils CCMA and Labour Court proceedings on unfair dismissal, nepotism, favouratism etc. Through its participation in bargaining structures Nupsaw negotiates for and on behalf of its members for improvements in salaries and working conditions.

NUPSAW Eastern Cape eight regions will convene in KuGompo city for the Union's 5th Provincial Congress. Delegates from across the province will engage in robust deliberations on the challenges facing the working class, assess the organizations progress, and chart a path forward to strengthen workers struggles. The Congress will also elect Provincial Office Bearers mandated to advance the interests of workers and build a stronger, more militant NUPSAW.

The 2nd NUPSAW Northern Cape Provincial Congress was a resounding success, bringing together delegates from all regions of the province to deliberate on key challenges facing the working class, assess organizational progress, and strengthen the union's footprint across all sectors of the economy. The congress concluded on a historic note, with the election of five Provincial Office Bearers. One male and four women demonstrating NUPSAW's commitment to women’s leadership, empowerment, and emancipation.
