SAFSMA was created with the purpose to grow and elevate the art and sport of live fire cooking in South Africa, incubating international standards for all forms of live fire cooking. Our aim is to establish SAFSMA as a recognized authority consisting of likeminded harmonious individuals and businesses as to develop, and then instill our own South African flavour for the international culin

ary arena. Mission

Our mission is to grow live fire cooking as a sport and celebrate our South African heritage. Whilst showcasing our culinary identity, promote sustainability and ethical practices. We aim to support and source local produce and farmers empowering financial growth. World class competitions and events will ensure our members are on par when competing abroad with other sanctioning bodies. Finally, we aim to engage in philanthropy and bring the spirit of ubuntu and camaraderie that food instill to all South Africans.
