On the 7th of April we had the Biosecurity 101 event with F10. It was a great pleasure to have fun while educating our students in the biosecurity dos and don’t most importantly tips to ensure they know how to protect themselves and those around them.

Thanks to F10, the Sisters and Drs who availed themselves to make sure this opportunity was successful and our OP community had a fun opportunity to learn more about Biosecurity. We hope you enjoyed as much as we did interacting with you and had something to take away from the event.

We had booths from the Hospital, skills lab, gumboot cleaning and F10 with fun exercises to partake in. Congratulations to our winners who won prizes.

The OPVSC

The committee handles all student-related matters on campus such as academics, social events and sports to name a few. We strive to act as the voice of the student body and have direct contact with the staff of the Faculty. Our aim is to improve communication between the students and the Faculty of Veterinary Science. As students, we have the best interest of the students at heart and strive to make their wants and needs known. Our goals are to improve our overall image within the faculty, and by the end of the year we want to highlight ourselves as a committee that the students can continually rely on for faculty information. We strive to lead selflessly and to make an impact in the lives of those around us. The pinnacle achievement at the end of our term would be to inspire students to follow in our footsteps and serve their fellow students. We have a wide range of portfolios that try to cover all aspects of student life, like Acadmeics, Social & Culture, Sport and Transformation to name a few!
