Lesotho Veterinary Outreach

Lesotho Veterinary Outreach Christian missionary outreach to provide a mobile veterinary clinic to the community of Semonkong, Lesotho and the surrounding area annually during October.

The Semonkong Hospital Trust has been in existence for ten years. The Veterinary Portfolio was started in 2006 by veterinary student, now Dr Didi Janse van Rensburg. The project has managed to grow into a hugely successful outreach program thanks to God’s favor and the hard work of all the students and doctors involved. Three clinics are set up to cater for the different species an equine clinic,

small animal clinic and livestock clinic. The project relies on the goodwill of companies in the medical and veterinary field as well as the generous support of professionals who give their time and expertise. In 2019 over 9000 animals moved through the clinic. Our aim is to improve the welfare of thousands of animals and to educate the community on how to improve their animal care whilst at the same time uplifting people with God’s word and love. Help us to make this a reality, any contribution be it financial or in prae can make this project a success.
