Today marks the beginning of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and it starts a month of honoring our heroes gone far too soon. We have lost so many incredible heroes along this journey, and we will use this month to intentionally remember them all. We speak their names, we hold their families close in our hearts, and we promise that their radiant light and fierce courage will never be extinguished from our memories. Their legacies are woven into the very fabric of who we are.
Yet, even as we pause to remember those we so deeply miss, we also use this month to passionately celebrate and honor our heroes who are still fighting every single day. To the children currently navigating long hospital stays, exhausting treatments, and days filled with both fear and extraordinary bravery: you are our greatest inspiration. We stand in awe of your unyielding resilience. And to the beautiful children who are now cancer free our triumphant survivors who have crossed that incredibly hard fought finish line your victories are the beacon of hope that guides this entire community forward. You remind us every day why this battle is always worth fighting.
Because at Superhero Cancer Kids, it will always be about the children. It is about looking past the clinical monitors and treatments to see the incredible child fighting underneath. It is about showing up for every single fight. It means standing beside families not just when the news is hopeful, but when the days are impossibly dark. It means wrapping this entire community in relentless love, prayers, and support.
No child should ever have to wear this heavy cape, but since they do, we will make absolutely sure they never have to fly alone. We are a family forged in both unimaginable heartbreak and breathtaking miracles, and this September, we raise our voices louder than ever for every child touched by this disease.
