Summer was found wandering around Bronkhorstbaai, but nobody knew who she belonged to…

Summer is a 2-year-old Africanis who was found roaming around Bronkhorstbaai. Thankfully, a kind gentleman took her in, cared for her and asked around, hoping to find the family she belonged to.

Unfortunately, no one came forward. With six dogs of his own, he couldn’t keep Summer, so he brought her to Wet Nose to give her a chance at finding a loving forever home.

Since arriving, Summer has shown us just how much she enjoys being around people. She loves attention and is always happy to have someone spend time with her.

Summer will happily sit and offer her paw for a tasty reward. Those little moments make it easy to picture her with a family of her own, enjoying their company and showing off what she knows.

She also gets along really well with other dogs, and her loving, friendly nature would make her a wonderful addition to any home.

To learn how you can adopt Summer, please contact us on 082 677 8086.

If you aren’t able to adopt, you can still be part of her story by sponsoring her kennel. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Please share Summer’s story to help her find the family she’s been waiting for.

When his owner moved to a smaller home, there was no place for Tyson and the two dogs who came with him…

At six years old, this Labrador X found himself starting over at Wet Nose. His owner was relocating to a smaller place and couldn’t take him, and two other dogs with. Now we’re hoping to find him a home where he can settle in and stay for good

Spend some time with Tyson, and you’ll soon discover two of his favourite things - people and tennis balls. He loves being around adults, enjoys his toys, and is happiest spending time outside with a chance to play.

Tyson does need a home that suits him. Children make him nervous, and he also doesn’t get along well with other dogs. For someone looking for a companion and a willing partner for some outdoor playtime, Tyson has so much to offer.

If you think you could give Tyson the loving forever home he needs, please contact us on 082 677 8086 to arrange to meet him.

If you can’t adopt, you can still be part of his story by sponsoring his kennel while he waits. Email [email protected] for more information.

At just 7 months old, Cain was going to be dumped in a field because his owner was moving…

Thankfully, a friend stepped in and took him home before that could happen. But the rules in his complex meant Cain couldn’t stay, so he brought him to Wet Nose to give him a chance at finding a loving family.

Cain is a Pitbull x Pointer, and spending time with him means spending time with a happy, playful boy who has plenty of energy to burn. He loves his walks and would suit a family who enjoys being active.

If you have a treat ready, Cain has a few things to show you! He already knows how to sit and shake a paw.

Cain hasn’t gotten along with the dogs in our care. If you already have a dog, our team is willing to work on socialising him and arrange introductions to see whether they could be a suitable match. We would need to take this carefully, without promising they will get along.

We want to help him find a family who can offer him the time, care and the lasting commitment he needs.

If you think Cain could be the boy for you, please contact 082 677 8086 to find out more or arrange to meet him. You can also help by sponsoring Cain’s kennel - please contact [email protected] to learn more.

For three days, Gucci was roaming the plots around us…

Gucci is a 2-year-old Wire Hair Terrier x Scottish Terrier who was finally caught and brought into our care after three days of wandering. Since then, we’ve had the chance to get to know the loving little girl behind that uncertain start.

When Gucci becomes attached to someone, she likes to stay close. She enjoys their attention and will happily spend as much time by their side as she can.

She does well with other dogs, although she can get a little jealous and protective of the people she loves. Her new family will need to understand this and gently help her learn that sharing attention doesn’t mean she is loved any less.

Gucci has so much affection to give, and we would love to see her find a home where she can settle in, feel secure and enjoy being part of a family.

If Gucci sounds like the companion you’ve been looking for, please contact 082 677 8086 to enquire about adopting her. Please share Gucci’s story to help her find a loving forever home.

If you can’t adopt, you can still be part of her story by sponsoring her kennel while she waits. For more information, email [email protected].

2 396 kg of food and R8 200 for the animals at Wet Nose - what an INCREDIBLE show of support!

Metal Mayhem, held on the grounds of Magnum United Shooting Range, brought people together to make a real difference for the animals in our care. We couldn’t be more grateful for this generous donation and the kindness behind it.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Magnum United Shooting Range for organising the event and the donations, and to everyone involved in Metal Mayhem who helped make this possible.

To every person who donated food, contributed money or lent a hand, thank you. Every contribution helped build this wonderful donation, and we hope you know how much it means to us.

With so many mouths to feed, seeing this amount of food arrive is an enormous relief. The food will help keep hungry tummies full, while the funds will go towards looking after the animals who depend on us every day.

From all of us at Wet Nose, thank you for standing behind our animals and helping us give them the care they deserve.

If you would also like to contribute, our banking details are below. Every donation helps us continue caring for them.
