The Companies Tribunal has partnered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) to amplify awareness of the Tribunal’s mandate and its mechanism for the speedy, accessible and cost-effective resolution of company-related disputes.
SAICA invited the Companies Tribunal to participate in a webinar recognising the complementary roles played by the respective institutions in resolving company and labour-related disputes. The Tribunal welcomed the opportunity to engage with SAICA, a leading professional body in South Africa, and to strengthen collaboration with a key stakeholder within the corporate governance and business environment.
The partnership provided the Tribunal with direct access to accountants, auditors and directors, who are often among the first professionals to identify corporate disputes, regulatory compliance challenges and governance gaps within organisations. This engagement therefore created an important platform for the Tribunal to increase awareness of its dispute-resolution services, promote early intervention, and encourage stakeholders to utilise the Tribunal’s mechanisms before company-related disputes escalate.
