3-DAY FOURTH WAY RETREAT AT PADRE PIO
8–10 January 2026 | Thursday 10:00 – Saturday 15:00
A rare opportunity to experience Akhaldan’s Fourth Way Work in South Africa.
Join Carol Squire for a three-day retreat offering a lived experience of the Fourth Way — a path of inner development brought forward by G.I. Gurdjieff, designed to awaken awareness within everyday life.
This work engages the three centres — head, heart, and body — simultaneously, cultivating presence, balance, and conscious participation in life.
What are Fourth Way (Gurdjieff) Movements?
The Sacred Movements are precise, structured physical forms that combine movement, attention, rhythm, and inner sensing. They are not dance or exercise, but a practical language of awareness.
Each movement invites participants to observe habits, resistances, and automatic patterns while maintaining divided attention — being aware of the body, thoughts, and feelings at the same time.
Through this practice, the Movements help:
Harmonise thinking, feeling, and sensation
Develop inner attention and self-observation
Interrupt mechanical habits
Cultivate presence and inner stillness within movement.
Across the three days, participants will be introduced to:
* The foundations of the Fourth Way Work
* Sacred (Gurdjieff) Movements
* Exercises for self-observation and divided attention
* Group reflection and conversation with Carol.
* Quiet moments for integration and inner listening.
This retreat offers a supportive space to see ourselves more clearly, unlearn old patterns, and return to a natural, integrated presence.
