💛 It might not be Monday… but it was definitely a Moment! 💛

We caught this beautiful little moment on camera — one of our children asked our Jakaranda receptionist to listen while she practised her poem, and the passion in that performance was EVERYTHING. 🎤😂

We’re so thankful for these little moments — the spontaneous, ordinary moments that remind us how privileged we are to be part of our children’s lives.

Our CEO often says that it is an honour when a child allows us into their world. And moments like this remind us just how true that is. 💛 To be trusted with their stories, their dreams, their big performances and even their tiny everyday moments is something we never take for granted.

Perception vs Reality 👀

Perception: “Our children grow up isolated.”

Reality: Our children are surrounded by people who care about them — from receptionists to gardeners and drivers, social workers, therapists, CYCWs and so many others who show up for them every day.

Sometimes the audience is small… but the applause is VERY real. 👏😂

We’re grateful for every moment we get to share, every little window into their worlds, and every opportunity to cheer them on. 💛

Fishing is one of the many activities our children get the opportunity to enjoy — getting outdoors, learning something new and, of course, seeing who can catch the biggest one! 😄🎣

We’re hooked! 🐟

Moment Monday 💙🚌 Our Buses

37 schools. Hundreds of school runs. A LOT of kilometres. And somehow, our buses are still being asked, “Can you just squeeze in one more trip?” 😅
Our buses do much more than get children to school. They get our kids to activities, excursions, appointments and all those important experiences that make childhood a little more special.

But here’s the thing: our buses don’t run on good intentions… they run on petrol, servicing, tyres and a little bit of TLC! ⛽️😂

And this is where you can help! 💙

Rowing

Our children are privileged enough to spend their weekends out on the water — and what an adventure it’s been! 🚣‍♀️

It all starts with a few cautious “testing the waters” moments in the smaller boats… a wobble here, a splash there 😄

But before long, confidence grows, balance improves, and suddenly they’re zooming across the water like pros!

Rowing has become so much more than just a sport — it’s about building confidence, resilience, and a sense of achievement (with a whole lot of fun along the way).

A heartfelt thank you to Academy for Canoe Development, Esti Olivier and Philip van Tonder. Your vision to develop the community through sport, life skills programmes and cross-cultural activities is truly making an impact in our children’s lives 💛
