Did you know? 💙

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference. A clean shirt. A warm jacket. A pair of shoes. Something small that says, “You matter, and you haven’t been forgotten.”

At Hanna Charity & Empowerment Foundation, we hand out basic goods to people and families who need them most. Because meeting a practical need can also bring a little dignity, comfort and hope. 🤍

If you have good-quality clothing or other basic necessities you no longer need, consider passing them on. What may be sitting unused in your cupboard could mean so much to someone else.

Sometimes we look at the “big things” in life and wonder how we’ll ever get there. But perhaps greatness isn’t found in one grand moment. It’s built quietly, little by little, through the ordinary things we do each day. 🌱

A kind word. A small act of courage. Showing up when it would be easier not to. Taking one more step.

As Vincent van Gogh beautifully reminds us, the great things are often a collection of little things, brought together over time.

So this Monday, don’t underestimate the small things. They may be becoming something far greater than you can see right now. 💛

Faithful Friday 🤍

Ephesians 2:8–10 reminds us of something beautiful: we are saved by grace, through faith. It is not something we can earn, achieve or prove ourselves worthy of. It is a gift from God.

And yet, grace doesn’t leave us standing still. We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He has already prepared for us.

What a privilege it is to receive His grace and then become His hands and feet in the world. Every act of kindness, every helping hand, every life touched with love can be part of the good work He has called us to.

May we never forget that we don’t serve to earn God’s love.
We serve because we have already received it. 🌿

There’s something truly special about seeing generations of women and children growing together in one community. 💛

In Elandspoort, our Area Manager, Lizal Stander, is blessed to walk alongside the little ones at our Little House Playschool while also empowering and supporting the women through our Womanhood Project.

From tiny hands learning and playing, to women finding strength, encouragement and sisterhood, Lizal gets to witness the beautiful ripple effect of community every day. 🌱

We believe that when we invest in women and children, we are investing in the future of the whole community.

Elandspoort, you are precious to us. Thank you for allowing us to walk this journey with you. 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to for hosting such a wonderful Women’s Day event and for inviting our founder, Hanna Grobler, to be the keynote speaker. 💐✨

It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate women, create awareness around the challenges faced by women in our communities, and remind us of the strength, dignity and value every woman carries.

We especially loved that the day was not only about raising awareness, but also about spoiling, uplifting and making the ladies feel special. Sometimes a little kindness, a listening ear and the knowledge that someone cares can mean so much. ❤️

Thank you, Orbit, for opening your doors, creating a space for meaningful conversations and celebrating the women who make a difference every day.

FUN FACT TUESDAY 💙👕

Did you know that something as simple as a bag of donated clothing can bring so much joy to a family living in poverty?

In Smartietown, many families have very little. New clothes are a luxury that simply isn’t within reach, which makes receiving good, gently-loved clothing something truly special.

There is something beautiful about watching children sort through the clothes, finding something that fits, something they love, or simply something that is theirs. 💗

This little girl was one of the many children who received clothing during our recent outreach in Smartietown. And that smile? That’s the kind of Fun Fact we love sharing. 🥹

Your unwanted clothing can become someone else’s favourite outfit. 👗👚👟

If you have clean, good-quality clothing sitting unused in your cupboards, please consider donating it to Hanna Charity. It could bring warmth, dignity and a little bit of happiness to someone who needs it.

Mindful Monday 💛

“A grandfather is someone you can look up to no matter how tall you grow.”

For some children, the people who step into their lives are not family by blood, but they become family in all the ways that matter.

Many of the children in the communities we serve grow up without a father figure at home. That is why having a volunteer who becomes their stand-in grandpa is something truly special. Someone who sits with them, holds their little hands, listens to them, makes them feel safe, and simply shows up.

Sometimes children don’t need grand gestures. They need a grown-up who keeps coming back. Someone they can trust. Someone they can look up to.

And perhaps, in the years to come, these little ones will remember not only what he did, but how it felt to have a grandfather figure who cared. ❤️

This Mindful Monday, let’s remember that showing up can be one of the greatest gifts we give a child.
