Jakaranda handed out Easter eggs at Unitas hospital, the local Police station and Fire station before treating the residents of a retirement village to some tasty chocolate eggs. We were honored to have DG Avril join the project. We ended the day with a nice social at a local restaurant. Always such a great event ❤️

Jakaranda members joined forces to create blankets for those in need this winter.

Time for some Festive cheer. The members of Jakaranda Lions played Santas little helpers and handed out toys to children at the Refilwe Day Care Centre in Soshanguve. A surprise visit by Santa made the day special for around 80 excited children. The Lions members enjoyed the graduation ceremony of a few of the learners and were treated to dancing and singing performances by the children. A very special occasion enjoyed by all! 🎅🏻🎄

What a special day today… the members and friends of Jakaranda fed and entertained residents of the Phyllis Robertson home for physically and mentally challenged individuals. It was a day of fun, dancing, face painting, beadwork, stone painting, Lego building and a host of fun activities. We all left with warm hearts and special memories ❤️

Pretoria Jakaranda Lions members were very active last Saturday assisting Pretoria South with the annual Jacaranda Social Club For the Blind potjie at Buffelspoort. A total of over 70 people were fed and great fun was had by all. 🥘

Members of Pretoria Jakaranda Lions Club recently collected and handed out 7 bags of food, along with many blankets and doggie items Wollies animal shelter in Pretoria. Hearts were filled 🤍

Every so often while doing our Lions work around the world, we encounter individuals who unselfishly provide services to the communities without expectation of acknowledgment or reward. They do it for the love of making a difference in someone’s lives. Our good friend Deborah Nel is such a person and we are blessed to know her. Debbie has spent many hours knitting dozens of tiny beanies, booties and blankets for prem babies. Lions Theo and Mark accompanied Debbie to the maternity ward of the Mamelodi Hospital to hand over the garments. The items were graciously received along with some cupcakes by the matrons and hospital staff. Thank you Debbie for your amazing dedication and compassion. Lions salutes you 🙏🤗❤️

Jakaranda members and guests celebrated the induction of incoming President Patricia van Wyk. A time to reflect on the achievements of the club over the past year. A wonderful event with great fellowship and club spirit at its best. We look forward to a successful year ahead

Jakaranda arranged for the distribution of hundreds of items of clothing as well as shoes and linen to the homeless community in Sunnyside Pretoria through a local church. A really heart warming project.
