Cancervive

Cancervive CREATING AWARENESS TO SAVE LIVES. The volunteers of Cancervive, are cancer survivors celebrating life through projects of awareness, education and fundraising.

Our key objectives are to educate and create awareness, fostering an understanding and recognition of cancer as a disease in an impactful and unique way. The central project is an annual motor cycle ride through South Africa with cancer survivors, and friends and volunteers supporting them as the back up crew. Let's Talk About Cancer

Cancervive had the opportunity to visit Eleos’ Early Development and Parental Group for a meaningful Let’s Talk About Cancer engagement.

This was more than just an awareness and educational session; it was a space for connection, conversation, learning, and shared experiences.

Through the introduction of the THUTO WhatsApp Chatbot, storytelling, and THUTO Connect dialogues, participants were invited to engage in real discussions about cancer, fear, hope, support, and awareness.

The session created space for people to ask questions, reflect, share experiences, and engage with one another in a way that felt personal, interactive, and meaningful.

Thank you to Eleos for the opportunity to share this space with your group and for welcoming the Cancervive team so warmly.

Real stories. Real conversations. Real hope.

Meet Tshegofatso Dubula: a woman turning personal pain into powerful purpose.

Cancer has touched her life in deeply personal ways. After losing both her grandfather and father to breast cancer, Tshegofatso later faced her own stage 3 diagnosis, a journey that changed her life forever.

In honour of her father’s memory, she made a decision to break the silence surrounding cancer and help others through education and awareness.

Today, Tshegofatso passionately shares her family’s story to empower communities with knowledge, encourage early action, and remind others that they are not alone.

Her strength lies not only in surviving but in choosing to use her voice to help save lives.

Now, she’s on a mission to raise R30 000 for cancer awareness.

The faces behind the support.

Behind every outreach, conversation, and moment of impact are people who choose to stand alongside the work and help carry it forward.

This team from NTP Radioisotopes has been part of creating opportunities for awareness, education, and connection to reach more communities.

Because meaningful change is never done alone, it’s built through people who care enough to show up and be part of the journey.
