One Afrika One World, which is a joint initiative of the NEPAD Council (an African Union organisation), Humanity’s Team and Southern Cross Foundation, who developed a strategy that envisages that at last uBuntu becomes our true National South African and African identity and brand as an expression of the global Oneness concept. Humanity is experiencing an unprecedented period in its history which offers a unique possibility for a rapid evolution in the way we live and interact with one another and the world around us. People in South Africa, Africa and the World are currently challenged by chaos on all levels of existence: famine, a serious global shortage of natural resources, climate change, major economic meltdowns, global pandemics such as HIV/Aids, species extinction, a large scale ecosystem collapse and natural disasters. The time that we live in is a period announced for change not only by indigenous cultures and scriptures, religions and philosophers, but also by numerous internationally respected academics, scientists, futurists, economists, business- and political leaders and think tanks all over the globe and an invitation for humanity to remember uBuntu, which has exactly the same meaning as the global Oneness Concept. These include amongst others: our humanness, personhood, family, and community; consciousness, potentiality, and purpose of life; divinity; spirit in action; our cosmic connection; and the uBuntu values: compassion, unity, honesty and truthfulness, forgiveness, respect, courage responsibility, generosity..... and others that guide our every-day living in all spheres of life. The golden thread that runs through all of this however, is the embodiment (and now also scientifically proven fact) of the oneness of everything - the inter-relatedness, inter-connectedness and inter-dependence of the whole, with all of this authenticated by Africa as a foundation of the Cradle of Mankind.
