How we closed off the Freedom Month 🇿🇦. We learned about all things Freedom Day; children created their own ID's and practiced voting by choosing our favorite children’s rights. It was fun and educational. Viva Agang Bokamoso Viva! Viva Democracy Viva! 👏🏻💜

It's Human Rights Day! ., 😊

This afternoon, during our Arts and Crafts session, the children made “Rights Shoes” using paper and boxes. 👟🎨 Each child wrote a different Children’s Right at the bottom of their shoe.

This activity helps remind us that children’s rights should always walk with us. As we celebrate Human Rights Month, may we always remember that *Children Matter* and should be at the center of everything we do. ✨💜🙌

Agang Bokamoso.is a 15-year-old registered Non-Profit Organisation (080-901-NPO) (930083832-PBO) based on the edge of both Ga-Rankuwa and Soshanguve townships in Tshwane.

Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing after-school space where children can enjoy their childhoods, learn, play, and grow. We serve Grades R–7 children through our After-School Care Programme, operating Monday to Friday from 12:00–17:00.

We are calling for R500 per month donations towards the stipends of our volunteers.

Your support will directly contribute to:
- A safe place to learn and play
- Protection of children during high-risk after-school hours
- Improved learning, confidence, and positive socialisation
- Preservation and celebration of childhood
- Stronger foundations for future success

Agang Bokamoso is a Section 18A registered organisation, and we are able to issue a tax exemption certificate for your generous contribution.

Today we were vision boarding with our VIP's.

A vision board is a board with pictures and words that show your dreams and goals.
It helps you remember what you want to work toward and achieve.

Our grounding question was: *"when I grow up?"* - this helped the children choose the correct images to represent their grown selves.

A good activity for this time of year: new grade, new challenges, new opportunities - this can serve as a compass to say: *there's a future beyond here worth working towards*.

It was a hard concept to teach however fine motor skills were developed through paging through for pictures, cutting, pasting, colouring etc.

Ka ncane ka ncane - the lesson will land.

All the best for the year 2026

As we begin the 2026 school year, I extend my warmest wishes to all learners, teachers, principals, and support staff across the country. The start of a new academic year brings renewed hope, fresh opportunities, and possibility. Each classroom is a space where potential is shaped and futures are built.

To our learners, I encourage you to approach this year with focus, curiosity, and determination. To our educators, thank you for your dedication and continued service in shaping young minds.

Together with parents and communities, we will work to ensure that teaching and learning take place in safe, supportive, and well-resourced environments, so that every learner is given the opportunity to thrive in 2026.
