✨ A very special day for 20-year-old Gift Sithole.

Her cochlear implant was switched on for the first time, marking the beginning of a journey into a world of sound. While the first switch-on is only the start, Gift confirmed that she could hear, and we received very positive readings.

A heartfelt thank you to Studex South Africa, who covered the shortfall for her surgery and made this life-changing moment possible. ❤️

At just 20 months old, Kiara Kempen heard sound for the very first time on 26 May 2026 during her cochlear implant activation.

The experience was understandably overwhelming for her, and she became very upset - but we remain incredibly grateful for such a powerful reaction to sound, especially remembering that Kiara had never heard anything before this moment.

A heartfelt thank you to every donor and supporter who helped make Kiara’s forever gift of hearing possible. Because of you, this little girl now has access to a whole new world of opportunity and possibility.

Zuan Brummer’s journey continues to inspire us!

After receiving his first cochlear implant in October 2025 through donor support, Zuan recently competed in a drumming competition and has made it through to the finals on 27 June 2026 🥁

This Monday, 25 May 2026, he will receive his second cochlear implant - another life-changing step made possible by generous donors.

We are extremely grateful for the support that continues to change lives and open doors for children like Zuan. We are so proud of his progress and wish him all the best for the finals!

Sharing Emily-Grace’s special moment on video! ✨

This is the moment 1-year-old Emily-Grace heard sound for the very first time through her cochlear implant. 🤍

Emily-Grace was born with hearing loss and faces several other health challenges, making her journey a difficult one. But thanks to the kindness and generosity of a donor who helped cover the shortfall for her surgery, she has now received the lifelong gift of hearing.

Although her first reaction to sound came with tears, one can clearly see that she hears something - a moment her family will treasure forever.
