š A MESSAGE TO YOUNG WOMEN PREPARING FOR EXAMS
Exam season can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. 2x cm laude graduate, lecturer, and MCom candidate Kopano Kola (Kopano Diamond Kola) shares her essential advice for staying grounded, focused, and supported as you prepare:
⨠1. Remember Your Why
Itās going to get difficult. There will be times you want to quit or cry. But know why you started. Itās possible if you put your mind to it and work hard.
š§ 2. Protect Your Mental Wellness & Be Consistent
Step away from your books when you need to. But when itās time to lock in, show up. Get the assignment done. Prepare for that test and write those notes.
šÆāāļø 3. Build Your Community
Find people studying the same course, do study dates, and support each other. If you donāt have a community, make at least one friend in class to be your accountability partner for deadlines.
š¬ 4. Communicate & Set Boundaries
Communicate with lecturers if you need support, and let your family/friends know youāre studying so they can give you space and grace when you have to prioritise your studies.
