It Starts With Me—and It Continues With Us

From choosing less harmful alternatives to protecting young people and disposing of v**e waste responsibly, individual actions matter. A responsible va**ng culture isn't created by legislation alone. It starts with consumers, businesses and communities doing their part.

Join us in building a more responsible va**ng community.

Better Regulation. Better Choices.

Good regulation should protect young people, support adult smokers looking for alternatives, tackle irresponsible practices and encourage responsible waste management. Harm reduction and responsibility aren't opposites—they should work together.

The September Challenge

September gave us a chance to rethink how we v**e, how we dispose of products and how we look after the spaces around us. The challenge doesn't end when Clean-Up & Recycle SA Week does. Responsible disposal should be a year-round habit.

Make responsible disposal a permanent part of your routine.

Harm Reduction & Environmental Responsibility Can Coexist

Supporting harm reduction doesn't mean ignoring environmental responsibility. We can support adult smokers who want alternatives while also demanding responsible product design, waste management and disposal. Better outcomes require us to think about the whole product lifecycle.

From V**e to Waste: What Should You Do?

Finished with your device? Don't just toss it. Keep used devices and batteries safely aside and look for an appropriate recycling or e-waste collection option in your area. When in doubt, ask your local waste facility before putting it in a recycling or general waste bin.

Check with your local recycling or waste facility before disposal.

Your V**e. Your Responsibility.

Consumers have a role to play too. Manufacturers and retailers can support responsible waste management, but once a product is in your hands, you are responsible for disposing of it properly and with care. Don't litter. Don't dump. Don't assume every v**e belongs in your regular recycling bin.

Clean-Up & Recycle SA Week runs from 14–20 September, bringing communities together to clean up neighbourhoods, rivers, beaches and other public spaces. But cleaning up litter is only part of the solution—preventing waste from becoming litter in the first place matters too.

Find a clean-up near you or get involved in your community.
