Thank you Virginia SPCA , Free State, South Africa may justice be served today.

Thank you for being there, taking action, for your dedication and commitment to uphold the law, to expose the whole truth and to ensure justice is served. May you and your entire team be abundantly blessed.

More often than not, the most heinous perpetrators are those one would least expect it from. They can even be "disguised" as faith leaders, law enforcement or professionals. The damage these people do to society is unmeasurable.

We are delighted to see that the court is acting against the accused who failed to report the crime as well.

May Leo finally, after all this time - rest in peace when the sentencing is handed down.

What would cat population management look like if we properly understood the systems we were trying to change, country by country, before deciding how to change them?

With the support of the Battersea Global Enabler Fund Harry Eckman, iCatCare’s Global Advisor for Cat Population Management, launched a ground-breaking and ambitious research project to find out. Because the only way to fully understand the problem and the system is to understand the perceptions, perspectives and assumptions of the people working within it.

In Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, and Australia, that meant hundreds of interviews with vets, municipalities, NGOs, rescuers, conservationists and more, alongside national public opinion surveys and desk-based research, supported by rigorous independent academic input.

The result is a full suite of resources: country reports, public opinion surveys, short-term strategies, and 10-year strategic frameworks.

We are proud to make this information available, for free, to anyone who works directly in, or funds those who work in cat welfare around the world.

If you are looking to implement a more strategic, sustainable, upstream approach to cat welfare and management in your country, region or municipality, see how our work can support you.
