FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR
RESIDENTIA MOOI HAWENS (WINKELSPRUIT)
Residentia, a Christian service organization with nationwide facilities dedicated to the care and well-being of older persons, invites experienced and motivated candidates to apply for the following challenging position:
1. REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate should possess:
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• A tertiary qualification in hospitality management and/or food service management.
• 3–5 years of experience in a senior role within a food services department.
• Basic HACCP knowledge.
• Comprehensive understanding of various diets, including soft, liquid, diabetic, and pureed diets.
• Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Computer proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• The ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
• Respect for diversity and sensitivity toward different cultures.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing and implementing a seasonal menu tailored to residents' health needs.
• Managing the entire procurement process in line with cost-effective budgeting.
• Overseeing stock control by implementing accurate inventory tracking.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure food-related tasks comply with safety and hygiene standards.
• Enforcing strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Planning and coordinating special events beyond daily meal service.
• Setting up and managing a coffee shop or tea garden for visiting family members.
• Managing takeaway meal services.
