SPEAKER: EMMA VAN DER WALT

Emma van der Walt is the Founder and CEO of Brave to Love, a counter-human trafficking organisation in South Africa. She has dedicated her life to identifying, rescuing, and rehabilitating victims of human trafficking. She works closely with law enforcement agencies, gathering intelligence information, analysing criminal networks, for the purpose of freeing those that find themselves trapped, abused and traumatized by these criminals and their networks. Her fearless, strong character guides her to establish justice for survivors of human trafficking.

Emma is the author of the book "She is Safe" - an expose of the dark world of Human Trafficking. The book was released in February 2024 and quickly became a top seller. Emma advocates against modern day slavery and participates in a variety of platforms with Government, Law Enforcement, Unit Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) including the Media. Se is a specialist in her field in combating modern day crime.
