Good morning, Liberators,
May I kindly request that, from now on, all media shared on our groups be accompanied by a brief summary explaining what it contains and, importantly, why it is relevant to our cause.
I receive hundreds of media posts every day. I simply do not have the time to watch or listen to every video, voice note, podcast or other recording — and I am sure many others find themselves in the same position.
In fact, much of what is being shared has become common knowledge to those who regularly follow our work. Too often, we are simply repeating what has already become obvious to us.
Accordingly, forthwith, I will delete media posted without an accompanying summary explaining its relevance and the purpose for which it is being shared.
There is also a bigger reason for this decision.
⚠️ We need to start sharing solutions instead of endlessly recycling fear.
It achieves absolutely nothing to keep repeating everything that is wrong with our country, our institutions and our society while offering no solution and taking no action.
I receive an overwhelming amount of media telling us what we should fear, yet extremely little showing us what somebody is actually doing about it.
And therein lies one of our greatest problems.
We can effectively brainwash ourselves by consuming and circulating fearmongering all day long. Meanwhile, the work of LFN — and the few other organisations and individuals who are actually doing something about these problems — struggles to reach the public because yet another frightening video, prediction or recycled narrative receives preference.
🔥 Fear without action paralyses. Knowledge followed by action empowers.
Our platforms should therefore increasingly become places where people find solutions, ideas, courage, action, education and inspiration — not merely another endless stream reminding everyone how terrible everything supposedly is.
Before posting media, please ask yourself:
👉 What does this teach us?
👉 Why is this relevant to LFN and our cause?
👉 Does it identify or contribute towards a solution?
👉 Does it inspire people to act constructively?
👉 Is it something our Liberators genuinely need to know?
If the media merely repeats a negative narrative we have already heard countless times and serves no constructive or informative purpose, please do not post it on LFN platforms.
We know many of the problems already.
Now we need to concentrate on what we are going to do about them. 💪🇿🇦
Liberation Greetings
