Patch-Up South Africa

Patch-Up South Africa We Are In The Business of Helping People. VISION
Transformed Communities In a Better World. VALUES
Transforming Lives . People Working Together .

MISSION
Empowering vulnerable populations toward self-sustainability through improved food security, increased accessibility to health care services, and the provision of opportunities for education, entrepreneurship and employment. Self-Sustainability . Honesty in all we do. OUR OBJECTIVES AND TARGET GROUPS
Patch-Up South Africa is dedicated to catalyzing a positive and substantial transformation

in marginalized communities, particularly in townships and rural areas. Our primary focus is on vulnerable populations grappling with poverty, ill-health, unemployment, and restricted access to opportunities. In aiming to build sustainable communities we use a holistic approach. Marginalized communities we serve are plagued by an influx of drug abuse, GBV and unemployment. These issues contribute to the degeneration of these communities and we see these challenges filtering down to the younger population of these communities, and therefore, we further our programs to adolescent people to implement harm reduction initiatives. Our overarching goal is to tackle past traumas, rectifying imbalances, and alleviate prevailing economic and social challenges. OUR PROGRAMS

Nutrition
Delivering nourishing meals to vulnerable communities to uplift their already compromised health. Agriculture
Establishing and nurturing food gardens to enhance access to nutritious sustenance and equip communities with agricultural skills and knowledge. Healthcare
Provide access to essential healthcare services such as HIV/TB testing and STI screening, aiding beneficiaries in understanding their health status and accessing appropriate treatment through healthcare education. Social Work
Providing social work/psychosocial services to our beneficiaries and their families. Referrals
Directing beneficiaries to advanced support e.g. rehabilitation centers, for comprehensive assistance. Self-Sustainability
Offering educational, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities to empower our beneficiaries to lead self-sufficient lives.

Dear Class of 1976. WE are because YOU are!💫

They fought for our right to be, so now we owe it to them to be a generation worthy of their sacrifice.

Just a quick recap of how our air quality and environmental workshop went with the Watler Sisulu Environmental Centre!💫🔥

Did you know? 😮🌬️ Gauteng is SA’s economic heart, but our air tells a different story! Here is what the science says:

* 100 Days of Clean Air: According to the National Air Quality Officer's report (published by Business Day), Gauteng gets only about 100 days of truly clean air a year! 📉
* Township Hotspots: According to the South African DFFE, indoor fires for cooking and heating in high-density areas can spike air pollution up to 100 times global safety limits! 🪵🔥

When we think about poor air quality in Gauteng, we usually think about our lungs. But the science has also shown that our food supply is taking a massive hit too! Smog, toxic gases, and coal dust are quietly damaging local farms and community gardens.

Clean air isnt just a health issue - its a food security priority!. 🇿🇦

Growth happens when we choose to learn, unlearn, and become better for ourselves and our communities. 🌍✨

We're so excited for the upcoming Equality and Environmental Workshop with Walter Sisulu Environmental Centre (WSEC)—a space to learn more about equality, environmental responsibility, and how we can all play a role in creating a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Moments like these remind us that real change begins with awareness, education, and action. Let’s grow together and be part of the solution. 💚♻️

🎙️ Tomorrow at 07:40 — tune in! 📻🔥

Kagiso Mahlangu will be live on radio speaking about one of the biggest challenges in our township communities: helping ex-convicts and recovering drug users rebuild sustainable lives after rehabilitation and reintegration.

At Patch-Up South Africa, we believe people deserve a second chance — and real opportunities. From skills development and entrepreneurship to psychosocial support and employment pathways, we’re working to turn rehabilitation into long-term sustainability. 💪🏽🌱

This is a conversation about restoration, dignity, and transforming lives for the better. Don’t miss it! ❤️

On 30 April, we working with the JNF Walter Sisulu Environmental Centre (WSEC) team in Mamelodi, where they generously donated seedlings to support our agricultural school. 🌱

Their contribution goes far beyond donations—they have also been investing their time and knowledge by training our students over the past few months. This kind of support is what truly creates lasting impact.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to WSEC for partnering with us in our mission of helping others and building stronger, more sustainable communities.

We’d also like to encourage other organisations and individuals to support our work in any way they can. Patch Up SA is what it is because of people like you—together, we can continue to make a difference🧡
