🌱🏆 Celebrating ECD Leadership

SANCRC proudly celebrates Mme Mmatsetshweu Motaung, Executive Director of Training and Resources in Early Education (TREE), on receiving the “Driving the Future of ECD through Know-How” Award.

The recognition took place at the Constellation of Change Conference, led by SmartStart, bringing together a network of 12 ECD implementers.

Mme Mmatsetshweu was selected from among the 12 ECD implementers to receive this recognition , a reflection of her leadership, commitment and contribution to the ECD sector.

We also celebrate her contribution to the conversation on strengthening collaboration and building a stronger ECD ecosystem through shared knowledge and collective action.

Congratulations, Mme Mmatsetshweu! 🌱❤️

Putting Children First Must Never Be Optional.

The South African National Child Rights Coalition (SANCRC) has issued an open letter calling for a child-friendly and human rights-based repatriation process for undocumented migrants.

The letter highlights the urgent need to protect children and pregnant women during enforcement operations by prioritising family unity, safety, healthcare, psychosocial support, and meaningful community engagement.

Every child deserves dignity, protection, and a future regardless of their circumstances. We call on all stakeholders to ensure that the best interests of the child remain at the centre of every decision.
