📢 OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA
The South African National Child Rights Coalition (SANCRC), representing over 130 civil society organisations, individual experts and more than 200 children from across all provinces, has issued an open letter to the President regarding the appointment of the next Minister of Social Development. �

✅ Greater focus on prevention and early intervention for children and families
✅ Evidence-based reforms within the Department of Social Development

📢 CALL FOR PROPOSALS: EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES

The South African National Child Rights Coalition (SANCRC) invites qualified audit firms with experience in auditing non-governmental organisations to submit proposals for the provision of external audit services for the financial years 2026–2030, commencing with the FY2025 audit.

SANCRC is a voluntary association of more than 126 organisations and activists working collectively to advance and protect children's rights in South Africa.

Key Requirements:
✔ Registered with IRBA and SAICA
✔ Minimum 3 years' experience auditing NPOs or public sector entities
✔ Professional indemnity insurance
✔ Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status
✔ No conflict of interest

Evaluation Criteria:
• Technical Expertise (40%)
• Audit Methodology (20%)
• Capacity & Timeline (20%)
• Cost/Fees (20%)

Today, we commemorate freedom ,a freedom hard fought for, a freedom that belongs to every South African.

But as we celebrate, we must ask ourselves:

Are all our children truly free?

Free to learn.
Free to be safe.
Free to be heard.
Free to dream without fear.

At the South African National Child Rights Coalition, we believe that freedom is incomplete until every child’s rights are protected, respected, and fulfilled.

Let this Freedom Day be more than remembrance , let it be a call to action.
A reminder that protecting children’s rights is not optional, it is a responsibility we all share.
