M E E T the Starfish Families!

🌟How has this jouney in orphan care shaped your hearts or perspective on family and community?
This journey has taught me that family is built on patience, faith, and showing up for each other even in uncertain seasons. It’s deepened my appreciation for support, prayer, and community.

🌟If your family had a theme song when you walk into a room, what would it be?
Eye of the Tiger because apparently it goes with my humor, confidence and fiesty side.

🌟Who in the family is the “softy”, and who is more stirct?
I am definitely the softie however, I am the rule keeper, my husband is the one the kids can get to and manipulate🤣🤣

🌟What are some things your family enjoys doing together?
We love to spend quality time with each other, going on walks/hikes and trying new food. Going to food markets is our thing! So food is our love language!

🌟What part of this journey are you trusting God for most in the coming months?
I’m trusting God for peace, guidance, and His perfect timing. I’m most looking forward to growing stronger in faith and seeing His plan unfold for our family.

As Starfish Projects we have multiple places of safety and foster care families who open their hearts and homes to little ones in need! We are so thankful for every family that says yes to this mission with us, we can’t do this without you!

Behind every vulnerable child is a caregiver doing their best — often under incredibly difficult circumstances. Many carry this responsibility alone, facing financial pressure, emotional strain, and limited support.

When caregivers are overwhelmed, it affects the care they are able to give. But when they are supported, encouraged, and equipped, everything changes.

Supporting a caregiver doesn’t just help one person — it strengthens the entire environment around the child.

When we care for the caregiver, we create space for children to be cared for better. 💛

When a child experiences neglect, stress, or a lack of stimulation during these years, the effects can last a lifetime. But the opposite is also true — love, care, and proper support can build resilience and open the door to opportunity.

By supporting vulnerable babies now, we are investing in their future. We are helping shape stronger, healthier individuals who have the chance to thrive.
