Bulungu

Bulungu Bulungu simply means Beads. BULUNGU is a part of a Non-Profit Organisation called Food and Nutrition Foundation. When you buy from us you are empowering women.

We want you to know more about us, which is why we had this name and brand design created. This makes it easier for you to identify us and to hopefully find some interest in us. We need to generate more awareness for our good cause of empowering women in underprivileged communities in South Africa and Zambia. Bulungu enables us to further develop their artisanal skills and to earn their own money.

At the same time, it is these women that represent Bulungu as they are at the core of the business. BULUNGU jewellery and accessories are lovely products made with dedication and passion from natural materials, sourced and hand-picked in a natural environment in South Africa and Africa. The products reflect nature, sustainable production, quality and beautiful African, yet contemporary design. BULUNGU products can be worn every day or on special occasions. Either way they make you look and feel good, because every single product makes you wear a beautiful piece of nature. You are helping women have an income to look after themselves and their families. As you empower them economically they become more independent to stand on their own two feet and this reduces Abuse and Gender based violence.
