So many people regularly ask me how they can support foster families, especially if they don’t feel they are able to foster themselves.

Visit us
Pay for a therapy session
Help with lifts

Join us for a court visit

Toilletries and cleaning products

Heres my week...
2 therapy sessions for kids
1 social worker home visit where all three our parents must be present
1 court appearance
Hiv tests for adoption Johann and I
Drs test and report for adoption Johann and I
1 police station visit for finger prints and clearances Johann and I
And we feed up to 12 familes a week on Wednessdays from our food supply. Families who liive on townships who are struggling to make ends meet and are hungry

All ontop of working, homework normal family life, washing and cleaning the house myself and cooking and being a wife and mom

None of this is easy on our nervous systems and my day is just too short and im not sleeping. Pray for us

I think people forget that being a stay at home mom means you NEVER actually clock out. 😅

There is no lunch break where nobody needs you.

No sick days where you get to stay in bed and recover.

No leaving work at 5 PM.

No quiet drive home to decompress.

You wake up and immediately start taking care of everyone else’s needs.

Breakfast. Diapers. Laundry. Dishes. Cleaning. Snacks. Appointments. Meltdowns. More snacks. More cleaning.

And somehow, by the end of the day, the house can look exactly like it did before you cleaned it. 🙃

Then someone asks, “What did you do all day?”

EVERYTHING.

I kept tiny humans fed, safe, loved, entertained, and cared for.

I managed a household while being interrupted approximately 500 times.

And most days, I barely got a chance to sit down.

Don’t get me wrong, I am SO grateful that I get to be home with my babies.

But being grateful doesn’t mean I’m not exhausted.

You can love being a stay at home mom and still admit that it’s HARD.

Both things can be true. ❤️

To every mama who feels like she accomplished nothing today because the laundry is still sitting in the dryer…
