Today marks the beginning of something historic.

HYPER DRIVE is building Africa’s first large-scale database of children’s blood pressure — a bold and urgent step toward protecting the cardiovascular health of the next generation.

Across our continent, high blood pressure is rising — and it often begins silently in childhood. Through nationwide screening, community partnerships, and African-led research, we are:

We are proud to launch the first database of children’s blood pressure in Africa — a bold step toward transforming cardiovascular health across the continent.

Through HYPER DRIVE, we are building Africa’s largest childhood blood pressure dataset to:

🔹 Identify elevated blood pressure early
🔹 Understand regional and demographic patterns
🔹 Inform prevention strategies from a young age
🔹 Support evidence-based policy across sub-Saharan Africa

Hypertension doesn’t start in adulthood. It begins silently — often in childhood. Early detection means early action. And early action changes lives.
