Express yourself!👨‍🎨

Entries are now open for the Sasol New Signatures Visual Art Competition, inviting emerging artists aged 18 and older who have not yet held a solo exhibition to showcase their work.

Submissions in the North-West will take place at the North-West University Botanical Garden Gallery in Potchefstroom on 9 and 10 June.

The overall winner will receive R100 000, the runner-up R25 000, and five merit award winners R10 000 each. In addition, the winner is awarded the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition at the Pretoria Art Museum in 2027.

An Art Workshop in Professional Art Practice will take place in Potchefstroom on Saturday, 31 January at the Snowflake Venue. This workshop is designed to support artists in developing a more professional and confident approach to their practice. Participants will learn how to market their art professionally, submit a compelling exhibition proposal, and price their artworks with confidence.

The workshop is presented by Prof. Elfriede Dreyer and made possible by SANAVA and the Potchefstroom Art Society.

As an added benefit, the first 15 people to register will receive a free assessment of one of their artworks by Prof. Elfriede Dreyer.
