Bafenyi Trust Bafenyi focuses on community development through different projects in the communities in and around Ikageng and Promosa.

We believe that sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what will help people win regardless of their circumstances. Everyone has the right to the full development of their God-given potential. Bafenyi is the Tswana word for "winners" and our vision is to see people win, regardless of their circumstances.

Phase 1 of our Winter Project 2026 has brought comfort to vulnerable children and adults through the distribution of soup jars, blankets, and Winter Warmth Packs.

❄️ Winter Project 2026 – Phase 1 ❄️

As winter continues to impact vulnerable families, Bafenyi Trust has been able to provide much-needed warmth and support through the distribution of soup jars, blankets, and Winter Warmth Packs containing beanies, socks, and gloves for children, as well as blankets, beanies and socks for adults.

This achievement was made possible through the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the unwavering support of community members who believe in and trust our work.

Thank you for helping us bring warmth, comfort, and hope to those who need it most. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and adults this winter. ❤️

🧡💚 Voices were heard, lessons were shared, and awareness was raised.

As part of Child Protection Week, our beneficiaries at JLU took center stage through a powerful puppet show and inspiring speeches that highlighted the importance of protecting children and speaking out against abuse. Their creativity and confidence reminded us that children are not only the future, they are active participants in creating safer communities today.

Bafenyi Trust staff also shared valuable information on child protection, equipping children with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to recognize unsafe situations and seek help when needed.

Over the past two days, Bafenyi Trust, in partnership with MosaicSA , brought together children, parents, and caregivers at JLU& Bafenyi Park for meaningful engagement surrounding Child Protection Week.

Through nutritious meals, donated clothing, and the distribution of emergency contact cards, beneficiaries were equipped with both practical support and vital information on child safety. Conversations focused on child protection, family well-being, and the shared responsibility of creating safe environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

As a symbol of hope, growth, and our collective commitment to safeguarding children, green ribbons were distributed to raise awareness and stand against abuse, neglect, and exploitation. These ribbons serve as a reminder that protecting children is not only a responsibility-it is a commitment we all share.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mosaic, our donors, volunteers, and supporters who made this initiative possible. Together, we are building stronger communities and ensuring that every child is seen, heard, protected, and empowered.

Bafenyi Trust continues Child Protection Awareness Month at Bafenyi Park.

As part of our Child Protection Awareness initiatives, the Young Lions (adult beneficiaries) at Bafenyi Park participated in an engaging session on Family Functionality. Through Biblical teachings and interactive discussions, participants explored the important roles of parents and children in creating safe, loving, and nurturing family environments.

The session emphasised the importance of servant leadership, mutual respect, parental guidance, and child nurturing as key foundations for protecting children and strengthening families. We believe that strong families play a vital role in preventing abuse, neglect, and other challenges affecting children.

Together, we are building safer communities where every child can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

On the 20th of May, we officially launched Child Protection Month at Bafenyi Park, where 346 children from the surrounding community received Concern Boxes- a safe platform created to help children anonymously report concerns related to abuse, bullying, neglect, and exploitation. 💙

Through this initiative, we hope to give children a voice and work together with the community to address these pressing socio-economic challenges affecting our young generation.
