Hibernation Vs Brumation 🐍

If u come across a snake basking on a winter sunny 🌞 day ,dont be shocked,it is mainly because our winter season temperatures doesnt drop to a freezing cold level for animals to adopt hibernation[Deep undisturbed sleep], instead our animals adopt to brumation [a state of REDUCED metabolic activities].

Usual brumation spots would be stone cracks/crevices, hollow tree stumps, & tree logs for undisturbed heat absorption just to regulate their body temperature 🌡

This time arround, Yellow Anaconda stole our hearts for a day ,and here r fun facts about the yellow Anaconda:

Anaconda's are giant constrictors however Yellow Anaconda is significantly smaller than the Green Anaconda .

Anaconda's are of Boa's family not python.

Anaconda's are generally known to have tolerance to human presence & fairly docile however the Yellow Anaconda has a bit of temper issues & sometimes give an uprovoked bite.

Puff-Adder aka Bitis arietans, is a highly venomous snake with long hinged retractable fangs which usually remain folded back on roof top of its mouth.

When striking,it swing the fangs forward towards its target.

Do snakes 🐍 chase people 🤔 🤷‍♀️🤷

NO!!! They absolutely don't, but if u expose their cover of darkness in a scorching sun ✨️ & your shadow is the only dark spot for its survival, Yes!!! It will run towards it,the more u maneuver, the likelihood of it adjusting to your movement.

It is not because of witchcraft but its instict towards survivability, snakes dont regulate temperature on their own ,they rely on external factor to maintain a balanced temperature.

In a matter of life and death ,it will desperately follow your shadow ,not u.
