Meet the Council – Wium Hagen

Say hello to Wium Hagen, the man behind the words as our Eastern Province Trunk Tales Editor.

By trade, Wium is a livestock agent, working hands-on in an industry that demands grit, knowledge, and strong relationships — qualities he brings straight into his role in Table. Whether he’s out in the field or behind the scenes putting together Trunk Tales, Wium ensures the stories of EP are told with pride and personality.

Fun fact: Wium and his wife share the same shoe size… which probably makes for some interesting wardrobe negotiations at home!

Wium’s attention to detail and passion for capturing the spirit of Table make him a key part of the EP team. Keep an eye on Trunk Tales — if it’s a great read, you know who to thank.

On Sunday 19th April 2026, Round Table Zwartkops 195 were ready and waiting for sunrise at our different aid stations for the Ironman Triathlon held in Gqeberha.

What a brilliant event to be apart of and a day well spent with the community. Who knew we had so many capable DJs in our chapter.

Congratulations to all the athletes, event organisers and everyone that came out to support, you made the sunburn worth it!

Being a tabler doesn't start and end on project day, there are hours upon hours of planning, collaborating and developing, this is hands down one of the best things the Rondel gives back to its members for their blood sweat and tears, the skills each member instills in one another to be their best self is invaluable. Farmers to Lawyers, Chemists to Accountants we have them all, if you are looking for your place in the world and you have a passion for life, you might just want to give us a tap on the shoulder so we can invite you in.

This year is absolutely flying by, and Zwartkops 195 is by no means done bringing joy and improvement to the community, we have some very special innovative events coming your way this year! Our elves have been extremely busy behind the scenes developing your new favourite events which we will be rolling out soon! Keep vigilant, you don't want to miss anything leading up to the big reveal.

In the interim, let’s take a moment to appreciate the community’s effort over the last 2 weeks who generously donated Easter eggs which we had the privilege to deliver to those which don't have life luxuries like some of us. Thank you to everyone that supported as well as SUPERSPAR Walmer for allowing us to be there collecting. To Vistarus Mission Station and Sinethemba Children's Centre , thank you for all the hard work you put in what a pleasure to spend some time with you on Sunday.
