Please check your cupboards. A blanket you no longer use could be a lifeline for someone who has nothing. New or used, both are welcome.

Families are facing devastating conditions after yet another round of flooding, and they need warmth now.

Botselo Mills, all the way from Delareyville in the North West, donated an incredible 1,000kg of Super White Samp to Love Story.

We were genuinely surprised by this amazing act of generosity and so grateful for their support. This donation will help our feeding programmes and place nourishing food into the hands of people who need it most.

So grateful for this amazing group of students from Nelson Mandela University.

Week after week they show up to help make sandwiches for our Early Learning Centres, helping us feed so many little ones with love and care.

🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗙 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗟 🚨

Our city is in disaster.
Deadly floods have ripped through our communities, destroying roads, homes, and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Thousands of people have been displaced overnight.

Tonight, mothers, children, and the elderly will sleep on church floors and in overcrowded halls with little more than the clothes they escaped in. Many have lost everything. They need us now.

Love Story is urgently appealing for donations of:

• Blankets
• Warm clothing
• Shoes
• Baby clothing and nappies
• Non perishable food items
• ⁠toiletries
⁠
Every single item matters. A blanket could be the difference between a child shivering through the night or being kept warm.

ＥＡＴ • ＰＬＡＹ • ＲＥＡＤ

Through our ECD programmes, we are creating spaces where children can learn, grow and simply be children.

We have placed Edu Libraries in many of the 22 crèches we support, equipping them with books and resources that develop fine motor, language, sensory and cognitive skills.

But learning cannot happen on an empty stomach.

Alongside this, every child receives a daily meal or sandwich, allowing them to focus, play and engage without worrying about where their next meal will come from.

Together, we can make a difference.

When community leaders work together, it creates valuable learning opportunities for children.

Jessie from Green Apple Preschool recently took her students to Masibambisane Day Care Centre so they could see firsthand how food is grown.

The children were able to touch the soil, look at the vegetables, and enjoy a fun, hands-on learning experience in the garden.

Experiences like this not only teach practical skills, but also inspire children to believe that they too can grow their own food, achieve something meaningful, and play a role in creating a stronger, more connected community.
