General information
The first international provisional Govering Board was set up at Workington, Cumberland, England, on the 05th February 1952. The first official World Ploughing Competition was held in 1953, in Canada, with only a handful participants. Since then, the competition has grown to where it is today, with 58 countries partaking. NAMPO 2012 will be remembered as the begining of the "Ploughing Competion" in South Africa. Tubestone, togehter with BKT and Grain SA took the lead by hosting ploughing demonstrations at NAMPO on international level.
