Council of Islamic Affairs - COISA The Council of Islamic Affairs in the Eastern Cape, South Africa (COISA) came about through the dire need that was felt in the community that it now serves.

COISA is a non-profit organization, registered as a Section 21 Company, in accordance with the Companies Act of South African Law, registration number CK 2010/1398/108. The founding organization of COISA is the Majma Huffaath Al-Quraan. The Majma was primarily established in 2008 to promote & establish Quranic & Hifth Studies in the Nelson Mandela Metro. As the Organization grew, the Majma found i

tself tackling a number of issues not directly related to its original objectives, but had to persevere & continue as the Muslim community needed the assistance & support. Thus COISA was established in 2009 as the umbrella & directing body to oversee these issues, purely to serve Allah SWT & the Muslim Community.
