Panel Discussion - Khasa: Crawl Crew

The team walked us through their incredible journey, from the very first spark of an idea to shaping it through scriptwriting, navigating the production stage, and finally polishing everything in post-production.

Hearing their behind-the-scenes process reminded us of the dedication, creativity, and teamwork it takes to bring a story to life on screen.

Closing Women’s Month with a special message from our Founder.

"I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our inaugural The Filmmaker In Me Film Festival. You were such a great audience to host!

I also want to express my deep gratitude to the community for welcoming me, offering their homes, spaces, and everything else they could to support the vision that was placed in my heart.

To everyone who contributed to The Filmmaker In Me program, may God bless you abundantly and fulfil all the desires of your heart.

As for me, I believe I’ve done everything I could with the vision placed in my heart, as Colossians 3:23-24 says: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

I’m excited to see what God has in store for the program. See you at the next one!"

The Filmmaker in Me Film Festival is not just a festival...

It’s a celebration of its very first edition in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. A celebration of young, talented individuals with no prior experience who embarked on a training program that took them from learning the fundamentals of filmmaking to being guided through production with the necessary tools and resources, and finally, being given a platform to showcase their films at the festival.

It has been an exciting four months, and we are happy to present the films created by our participants through The Filmmaker in Me Training Program.

Join us on Friday, 22 August 2025 for the screening of Khasa: Crawl, Under The Sun, and In Our Shoes.

If you RSVP’d using our link, please check your email for a follow-up confirmation.

We look forward to seeing you there!
