Maranatha Siyakatala Youth Centre

Maranatha Siyakatala Youth Centre Maranatha Siyakatala Child & Youth Care Centre (CYCC) has 34 young people receiving residential care We also assist in after-care where viable.

We are registered with the Department of Social Development in South Africa. The aim is to give the children we care for the best opportunity to develop. All children are placed in our legal care as classified in need of care and protection. We provide therapeutic, developmental, recreational and caring services as per the Children's Act 2005. We also look to explore opportunities for training and

higher education in safeguarding the future of all those at the home, even after the age of 18, in terms of independent living. This is where we support children without secure support networks to transition successfully into adulthood. The organisation was established in 2002, with our main premises rented from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in Southdene (through Forest Hill Drive). We have children referred to us from throughout the Eastern Cape.

How lucky and blessed we are to have KFC come spend Mandela Day with us. All hands were on deck cleaning and painting the centre. When our kids came home from school they were surprised with new bedding, KFC meals and treats and some games to end off a good day! Thank you KFC for adding HOPE!!!

Spread the word if you can ‼️

One program we have worked on at our youth centre is trying to help our young adults to become self-sufficient and move on to live independently! 💪

However, we know there is a big need when it comes to household furnishings, because it is a big step and achievement for them to be able to move into their own place! 🌟

Currently we are helping to source a working stove, wardrobe, chest of drawers and couch! If anyone has such items in a decent condition that they are looking to go somewhere that it'll be truly appreciated please contact us and we can make arrangements! 🤝

It is always a blessing for us to see our care leavers stand on their own two feet! Thanks for your support! 🙏

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Martin family for their incredible generosity and support in raising funds for Maranatha-Siyakatala CYCC, including an incredible fundraising effort that reached an amazing amount of R40 000!!!👏❤️ Your kindness and commitment make such a meaningful difference, and we are truly grateful.
